Youth Concils

I got to go to Youth Councils, forgot how cold it can be in the Mountains in March. I spent the weekend having fun and enjoying everything. One of my favorite activities was embarrassing my children. you know might as well, I was there they were there!!

This is me dancing, in case you couldn't tell, this seems to really embarrass them, not me.

Then I realized that one of my long time friends had also been instructed not to dance, it was humiliating for his children. So of course I encouraged him every chance I got, then we struck a pose.

Oh what fun you can have at Youth Councils. Mrs. DYS asked me to teach a class on chocolate, I said Chocolate of course count me in. I started the class with the premise everyone had to agree to, chocolate is both a veg. and a protein, as it is a bean and beans fall into both of these categories, then some ladies in my class reminded me it is also a dairy or they couldn't call it Milk Chocolate, and how could we forget fat, as in Cocoa butter. So the consensus is that Chocolate is absolutely without questioned the most well rounded food in the universe. So therefor the name for the cocao tree, Theobroma cacao is absolutely correct - food of the gods. Chocolate the ultimate comfort food.

Note the tissues in the tunic pocket, I am having a terrible bout of allergies, my eyes are running almost constantly, pear trees, even with the partridge in it, I could live without.

Social Injustice

I did not get the memo that yesterday was rant and rave against social injustice. Had I not read brorevrob or friend joy project I would not have realized.

When did McDonalds stop filling up their drink cups. I pay for a large sweat tea, that's what I want not a medium sweat tea in a large cup. Do they think we won't realize? Sudenly it occurs to me that some of you may not realize, you see I don't use a straw any more ever, so I have to take the lid off the cup to drink that pure syrup of sweat tea, and it just makes me mad that the cup is not full, do they do the same with soft drinks as well. If I go inside I can drink the whole cup and refill it, but the drive through thats where they cheat you out of a least a quarters worth of sweat tea.

I have just been reminded that McDees sweat tea is just a $1, as Rossana, Rossana, Dana would say Never Mind!

Why is it all the great die to young? And the news article that lumped Elvis in with the others who died so young, what's that about? Yes he was to young but he was no twenty something. Can you tell I am up much to late to think a conscience stream of thought?

I am updating.

Yesterday on Rachel Ray there was a woman who lost a considerable amount of weight with Bypass Surgery and she lost all of her friends and family because thats all she talked about. Well I don't want that to happen to me, so unless I have something truely wonderful to report I won't be reporting on that.

My children don't say "cute" things anymore, why is that. Why when teenagers says something "cute" do we simply see them as something stupid. Harmony tells stories all the time and laughs and laughs, I don't usually see the humor, so what's up with that. She does make me laugh because she is laughing, joy is contagious. Jayne let the boy find humor in his fantastic french, when he is 16 it won't be funny at all, to him or you.

There are things about A-OK I miss, and I can tell you I am glad I missed this. Thinking of all of you out there in winter wonder land. We are having beautiful weather, our bell ringers broke out sun block today.

I wished everyone at the Y Merry Christmas today, they have Happy Holidays up a the ymCa, go figure, wonder if anyone has called their national headquarters and complained? Things that make you go, hmmm. Everyone thought I wasn't coming back til after Christmas, not so, just felt in the Christmas spirit this morning, didn't know why jsut did, I like that feeling.

OK work to do, thinking of the frozen today, MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I excercise daily doing water aerobics and some friends invited us to a late Haloween Party. We had fun and I even won a prize. We played a great getting to know you game. Each person was sked to hide something in plain site on their bodies, paper clip, gum, macaroni noodle, bottle cap, then we were supposed to find everyones. It was a lot of fun. My top had some natural beads on it and I hid the mac. noodle among the beads, no one could find it.

We did Corps Cadet Sunday this morning, our kidoos were great. Love my children, they choose, "Storm the Forts" "I'll Go" (Bosanko) "Sound the Battle Cry" Those children and their Euphoniums, they were singing out today. Thanks to all.
